Today I received a bluish tooth mouse. I followed the directions I found on 2 uTube videos but the mouse would not pair. It seems similar such a unproblematic procedure that I am confused. Whatever suggestions?

    Cheers for the response.
The mouse is an unbranded unit fabricated in Communist china identified as a Bluetooth Optical Mouse. I have since emailed Acer and their response that the version of three.ane supplied past them does non back up bluetooth mice yet there are videos on uTube showing the procedure for pairing a bluetooth mouse with the Acer A500. I am dislocated.
  4. I checked out using a bluetooth mouse with the A500 on Youtube and they are using a custom ROM.

The standard system installed past Acer doesn't support bluetooth mouse.

  5. Well I have been using a Microsoft bluetooth, i of the little laptop ones, mouse and information technology works simply fine with three.i

Are you lot running an Acer A500? I tin just repeat that I take an email from Acer customer back up stating that their iii.1 does not support bluetooth mice. This is why I am and so dislocated.
  7. I was relying on Acer'south statement that the version of 3.1 supplied past them does not support bluetooth mice, but what would they know.

By the sounds of it, a few people take had success with a BT mouse on the stock system, so maybe "not supported" ways y'all could be lucky but if yous're not don't complain to Acer.
    Pete seems coy about sharing advice on how he got his Microsoft BT mouse working, and so the best I accept come upwardly with is from Icebike at AndroidTablets.net who had success with a Dell BT mouse;

"I merely had to unpair information technology to refresh my memory, Here'south what I did.

    Commencement by unpairing it.

On the tab make sure its find-able and blue tooth is on.
Then pick up the mouse, plow on and tap the bluish button.

On the tablet, in bluetooth settings scroll all the manner downwards to browse for new devices.
Select your mouse (by its mac accost which is printed on the bottom).
Key in 0000 for pairing. striking ok.
Tap any mouse button and a cursor will announced on your screen.

Every time you wake the tablet, tap a mouse button to tell the tablet that the mouse is ready."

king12 - if the documentation with your mouse doesn't mention a pair lawmaking and 0000 doesn't work, y'all could try other typical variations similar 1234, 9999

I never get to the point of entering a pair code. When I endeavour to pair, the tablet starts to scan and just times out. No indication that their is a BT device trying to pair. It looks like I have a bad mouse.

  9. Coy, LOL. I fired information technology up and it worked straight abroad, zero to exist coy about.

The mouse is a "Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000".

Accept since updated to 3.two and accept all the same to exam information technology but I will check let you lot know if it still works. Okay I simply checked and it is working fine on three.two also.

    Cheers.

  10. PeteDee - and then are you saying there is no procedure you lot demand to get through to pair or connect your mouse to the tablet?

I can run into how that might be kind of abrasive if in that location are other tablet users in range and your mouse suddenly starts doing stuff on their screen, which is why bluetooth usually requires a pairing exchange.

And that's the scrap king12 is asking for help with.

  11. king12 - your mouse must accept a fashion of letting other devices know it is available.

In the guide from Icebike that is the step

"Then pick up the mouse, plow on and tap the blue button".

Your mouse may not have a blue button only it should have an equivalent. If there isn't any kind of push button underneath only try moving it and pressing the mouse buttons simply before you lot beginning the scan from your tablet.

If the tablet can't even see information technology then your chances of getting it working are slim.
Do you have whatever other bluetooth devices effectually (eg phone) to attempt out the pairing process from your tablet?

  12. Of course I went through the normal pairing and connecting sequence as you practise with any bluetooth device.

I simply received a second BT mouse, a Targus BT Laptop Mouse. When the A500 scans for this unit, it finds it and a complete description appears on the screen. This is more than than my other mouse did. Then a box opens where you lot are supposed to enter the pairing lawmaking. I have tried both oooo and 1234 but it does non seem to pair. At to the lowest degree I don't bear witness a curser. Under the BT heading in that location is an item chosen "Devices" and my screen shows A500 under that heading. If the mouse pairs should it also appear under this heading?

I simply purchased a Microsoft Notebook 5000 Bluetooth mouse, I imagine the same mouse that Pete is using but I cannot get it to pair to my Acer a500 for the life of me, I scan for it and it finds the mouse instantly but when the "enter pin to pair" comes up I enter 0000 or 1234 or 9999 but null seems to work at all.

Pete, what pin are yous entering? Are yous clicking ont he mouse after pressing enter for the pin??? what exactly did you practice to pair this mouse as I'thou nearly to throw it at a wall.

    EDIT:

Ok I managed to pair it with 0000, the problem appeared to be I am also using the Logitech bluetooth Keyboard for android iii.0 and it would not allow me to pair until I turned off the bluetooth keyboard and entered the pin through the on screen keyboard.

afterwards I was able to turn my keyboard dorsum on and both are paired, boot ass and taking names XD
